Member Guide

As a member of your Zendo, you can view the schedule, sign up for positions you're assigned to, and manage your profile and notification preferences.

Using the Dashboard

The dashboard is your home screen when you log in. It shows:

  • Upcoming Events - Events with positions you can sign up for
  • My Schedule (sidebar) - Positions you've already signed up for
  • My Positions (sidebar) - Positions you're assigned to serve in

Click on any event to see more details and sign up for available positions.

Understanding Your Positions

In your dashboard sidebar, you'll see "My Positions" listing all positions you're assigned to. Each shows your qualification level:

  • Qualified - You can sign up to serve in this position
  • Trainee - You can sign up for training slots only (not regular serving)

Open positions don't require assignment - anyone can sign up for them. These are typically roles like "Greeter" or "Setup Helper" that don't need special training.

Signing Up for Events

To sign up for a position:

  1. From the dashboard, click on an upcoming event
  2. Find a position you're assigned to (or any open position)
  3. Click "I'll serve"

You'll see your signup confirmed with a green highlight and your name in the position list.

For recurring events: Each occurrence is separate. Signing up for one date doesn't sign you up for future dates - you'll need to sign up for each occurrence individually.

Training vs. Serving

If you're a trainee for a position and the event allows training, you'll see an "I'll train" button instead of "I'll serve".

Training signups:

  • Don't count against the position's regular capacity
  • Are limited to one training signup per event
  • Are displayed separately with an amber highlight

Canceling Signups

If you can no longer serve for a position you signed up for:

  1. Go to the event page (from Schedule or your dashboard)
  2. Find the position you're signed up for
  3. Click "Cancel"
  4. Confirm the cancellation

Please give as much notice as possible so coordinators can find a replacement.

Managing Your Profile

Click your name in the header and select Profile to:

  • Update your name
  • Change your email address
  • Update your password
  • Manage notification preferences

Notification Preferences

In your Profile, you can control which email notifications you receive:

  • Signup confirmation - When you sign up for a position
  • Event reminder - 24 hours before events you're signed up for
  • New event published - When new events are available
  • Position assigned - When you're assigned to a new position
  • Spot opened - When a position opens up in an upcoming event

Toggle each notification on or off based on your preferences.

Using ZenServe on Mobile

ZenServe works great on mobile devices. You can:

  • Access your Zendo's portal directly at yourname.zenserve.co
  • View the schedule and sign up for positions
  • Check your upcoming commitments
  • Manage your profile

Tip: Add ZenServe to your home screen for quick access (use your browser's "Add to Home Screen" option).
